34 Attend Annual Atoka Cemetery Mtg.
Thirty-four persons were present at the Atoka Cemetery Association meeting held
Saturday, May 19, 1991. James RICHARDS opened the program with Burl
STRICKLAND voicing the invocation.
After the singing of 'America,' the day was dedicated to the late Mrs. Tina PARKER
[Clementena KELLETT PARKER] and her descendants. Mrs. PARKER was a
dedicated, influential teacher for the Atoka Community and school during her lifetime.
Two of her sons, Fred PARKER [Frederick PARKER] of Stephenville, and James
PARKER of Corsicana, were present, as well as a grandson and wife, Dale [Dale
Lawrence PARKER] and Fran PARKER [Frances Olivia “Fran” GERSTLAUER ]of
Azle. Dale's father was the late D. A. PARKER [David A. PARKER], son of Mrs.
PARKER.
Further business was conducted after singing of 'Amazing Grace' led by Frank
At the close of the meeting, a lunch was enjoyed by everyone, and good-byes were
expressed until next year, the third Saturday of May.
