Two funerals -- one at Atoka Cemetery -- forced us to have our annual
Homecoming gathering and business meeting at the nearby Novice
Methodist Church. And although we didn't get to visit the Cemetery, we
did enjoy visiting with each other. We thank Jenniffier SHIELDS
HAWES who went to the cemetery and took gravestone photos, many
of which helped with the Errant Headstone Mystery of Mary B.
We had three people buried at Atoka last year.
• Kelly PARKER, the son of Ray and Carol PARKER was buried at
Atoka on June 21 2010; died 18 Jun 2010.
• Our good member Dawl RACKLEY of Novice was buried at Atoka
July 28, 2010; died 23 Jul 2010.
• Faye SHIELDS HOLLAND. She was the daughter of Dolph and Callie
SHIELDS; died 11 Jan 2011, buried in Atoka Cemetery.
