NOTICE

ANNUAL MEETING - SATURDAY, MAY 21, 2016

Dear Friends of Atoka Cemetery Association,

The annual Atoka Cemetery Association meeting will be held Saturday,

May 21, 2016 this year. We will meet at the Novice United Methodist

Church at 10:00 am for visiting and the business meeting will start at

11:00. At noon we will have our usual potluck meal. The bread and

drink will be provided.

Following is the burial(s) we have had at Atoka since May of last year:

Opal Inez Archer [Opal Inez BATES CHITWOOD ARCHER] our

dear friend and supporter of Atoka. I don’t think she ever failed to

attend a meeting of the association. Inez passed away October 17th

at the age of 92. She was born in Runnels County to James Roy and

Myrtle (DePrang) Bates. She had lived most of her life in Novice and

was a member of the Novice Baptist Church. We will miss her friendly

face!

Dorothy Rackley [Dorothy June-Hope SMITH CLEVENGER

RACKLEY] - missed putting Dorothy in my letter last year as she

passed away on April 5, 2015. She was born May 18 1932 in Kilgore,

Tx to Ivy and Irene (Lewis) Smith. She moved to Novice in 1954 with

her husband Dawl.

Thank you for your past generosity in giving to the Atoka Cemetery

Association. We depend on your donations to keep th

e cemetery mowed and the grave sites maintained. If you cannot

attend the meeting and would to contribute, please send your donation

to Atoka Cemetery Association, c/o Sue Shields, Treasurer, 699 CR

429, Novice, Texas 79538.

We will be looking for a new groundskeeper after May as Michelle

Williams will be retiring from that job. If you know of anyone let me or

James Richards know.
