NOTICE

ANNUAL MEETING - SATURDAY, MAY 13, 2017

Dear Friends of Atoka Cemetery Association,

The annual Atoka Cemetery Association meeting will be held Saturday,

May 13, 2017 this year. We will meet at the Novice United Methodist

Church at 10:00 am for visiting and the business meeting will start at

11:00. At noon we will have our usual potluck meal. The bread and

drink will be provided.

Following is the burial(s) we have had at Atoka since May of last year:

Ralph Raymond (Pete) Ray, Jr. — DOB: 8/24/55 — DOD: 6/14/16

Our condolences to the Ray family.

We want to welcome Larry Garvin as our new president of the

Association as he was elected at the last meeting. We also want to

give a big "helping of appreciation" to James Richards, our past

President, for his years of dedication to the Atoka Cemetery

Association.

Another change in our "staff' is the retirement of our long-time friend

and cemetery caretaker Shelly Williams who did out outstanding job of

taking care of the cemetery. We are fortunate to have Cole Richards,

grandson of James and Anno along with Clay Richards to step in and

take over the care of our cemetery.

We have had the old rotten benches and tables removed from the

arbor and some of the cedars removed that were overtaking graves.

Also, we are looking at spraying the cemetery for grassburrs and

bringing in field dirt for filling in grave sites as needed.

Thank you for your past generosity in giving to the Atoka Cemetery

Association. We depend on your donations to keep the cemetery

mowed and the grave sites maintained. If you cannot attend the

meeting and would to contribute, please send your donation to Atoka
