Ed Sartor, 66

Services for Edwin Earl Sartor, age 66 of Lubbock [Lubbock Co, TEXAS] were held Wednesday, July 10, 2002 at Highland Baptist Church with Rev. Kenneth Staton officiating assisted by Rev. Bob Blevins. Burial followed in Resthaven Memorial under direction of Resthaven Funeral Home. Mr. Sartor died July 7 in Lubbock.

He was born August 19, 1935 in Goldsboro, Texas to Earl and Mabel Sartor. He moved to Lubbock in 1952 from Coleman and graduated from Lubbock High School in 1955. He was a grocery store manager for Piggly Wiggly and later was a manager for Furr’s Grocery chain for 25 years. He was a member of Highland Baptist Church, Merry Mixers and Solos Square Dance Club.

Mr. Sartor is survived by three sons, Gerald A. Sartor, James R. Sartor and Russell W. Sartor all of Wolfforth; one brother, Robert Sartor of Lubbock; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.
