Polly SARTOR FERK handled Supplies to the WWII Pacific Front

“During WWII, Polly worked as a "secretary" at the Presidio in San Francisco and ended up handling supply to the Pacific front.  Her boss, who was in charge, went overseas.  Polly took over his duties (still a secretary).  When he came back after the war, he was in charge again, and she returned to previous level of secretarial duties.  She said that is just what all the women did.“
