Death at 17 Years Old, During the 1918-1919 Spanish Flu Pandemic

[editorial comment]

“Margaret Sartor [Margaret SARTOR SAINT] told me that John Robert Sartor [eldest child of James Gross SARTOR and Lillie Mae WATKINS SARTOR] died of the flu during the 1918-1919 pandemic. [History of 1918 Flu Pandemic, CDC]  He came down with it in the morning and died in the afternoon.  She said the death certificate said pneumonia because he died because his lungs filled and he couldn't breath.“
